You probably wouldn't have described me as an organized or tidy kid. Like most kids, I was too busy playing and dreaming to put my toys away. Once in a while, my mom would make us do a miserable, epic clean up of our playroom where we'd all fight and cry. Not fun! But while I didn't like cleaning, I always liked to organize and make things look pretty. I loved rearranging the furniture in my Barbie house and organizing my stuffed animals just so.

 

As a grown up, I'm still that way. Nothing thrills me like opening the door to a perfectly organized cupboard or closet. I love using the decorative items I already own and re-imagining them to create a fresh, functional look.

As a mom to 2 young kids, living in a small space, I can tell you that having an organized home puts everyone in my family at ease. A place for everything and everything in its place is a phrase that we live by.
